GPM Hydraulic Consulting, Inc. was founded in 1994 by C. A. (Al) Smiley, Jr. and is located just outside of Atlanta, in Monroe, Georgia. GPM’s three instructors and consultants have more than 60 years of in plant, hands on, hydraulic experience. They have provided training, consulting and troubleshooting services in more than 25 states across the country, in Canada and South America.

The company’s hydraulic workshops are specifically designed for mechanics, electricians, operators and supervisors. Although hydraulic vendors and manufacturers have training seminars, many times their main focus is selling pumps and valves.

In GPM’s workshops the students learn the function of each component, how to check it, the proper adjustment procedures and how to troubleshoot from the schematic. The company’s specialty is designing and teaching a customized workshop on your in plant machines.
